Dexter (Why?) - Dexter popped into my head as soon as I heard about the Fan Fiction assignment. Just letting it be known quietly I am a 'in the closet' megga DEXTER fan and secretly cant wait for the next season to come out. Also crossing my fingers and toes that season 8 wont be the last season.
I've followed through all the seasons and have always been on of those 'what if this' or 'what if that happened' sideline commentators while watching the series. Heres hoping it will finally come in hand and make my life a little bit easier on this assignment. 

At this point I am still unsure as to what take I am going to have on the series... But, maybe thinking of doing it from Deborah (the sisters) narrative point and then obviously changing some turn of evens and extending and expanding on the existing cliff hangers.


Tossing up initial ideas)- The most I know regarding this assignment is that i have a definite series. Now I am abit torn in weather to carry out season 8 episode 1 for my fan fiction (Dexter is only up to end of season 7 wth the public), change up the last season 7 turn of events, maybe add some new ones, go right back to season 6 (season that i really enjoyed and tweak it to my imagination) or do a flash foward. possibly a flash right back to childhood
Alongside this indecisivness I have yet to pick which narrative angle/ thought prosess i will be coming from. I jugglinging in between a few main character.
-Dexter Morgan (classic choice) 
-Deborah Morgan (more of an emotional outside look on dexter)
-Trinity (serial killer - his perspective of dexter ans when they became friends)
-Dexters brother 
-Dexters children/child (flash foward)

Taken(2008) why?

 Although I originally wanted to write my piece on the Dexter Series, the more research I did into it I found my self not being 100 percent passionate on creative FF piece. Something that I am passionate on is Human Trafficking, which is where my final FF piece came from. I wanted to do a take on the movie TAKEN which address the global issue of human trafficking rolled into a ‘Hollywood’ brave heart type blockbuster. It brought me to think about the raw end of human trafficking and the sad reality for the millions of woman, men, girls and boy that are trafficked globally that don’t have a happy ending with a dad that is a ex C.I.A agent. This mind frame brought me to write a piece on the movie taken but adding a more realistic twist on on the Hollywood fabricated story. My FF is based on the WHAT IF’S

Characters: that will play in my FF

-Bryan Mills (Father, also an ex c.i.a agent, the main action character who goes on a mission to save his daughter from Albanian Human Traffickers. In the original movie he succeeds on finding his daughter in my fan fiction he will not be successful in saving his daughter. I think the FF will be based from him point of view)

-Kim Mills (Daughter of Bryan Mills, 16 years old in the original movie. Goes away to Europe with a friend, gets taken by Human traffickers and to be sold off as a sex slave and ended up getting taken the night of her sale and her dad did not manage to save her)

-Lenore (Kims mum, Bryans ex wife. She will play a part in my fan fiction as the same styled catchater as the made her in the movie)

-Stuart (Lenores rich new husband, Kims step dad. He will not really play and major role in my ff other than him being put into conversation maybe)

-Jean-Claude (the police cop in France that Bryan thought was his friend but is a dirtty cop who is trying to shoo Bryan out of France as he is casuing to much trouble)

Story will be a flash foward. Its will be coming from Byrans P.O.V. I think it will play on the way he is feelingat the time as he did not succed in saving Kimmy, But he has the stamina of never gving up. Flash foward will only be a year max.
