Rhona's fan fiction draft

As cheesy as it sounds I have to say I totally agree with the statement, behind every great love is a great story.

Yes, for those of you who haven't yet figured it out I am an utter fan of puppylove movies. My fan-ficiton will be focused upon the award-winning film The Notebook directed by Nick Cassavetes., based upon the best-selling novel of the same name written by Nicholas Sparks.

"They didn't agree on much, infact they rarely agreed on everything. The fought all the time, and they challenged each other everyday, but despite their differences. They had one important thing in common they were crazy about each other".

The Notebook isn't like any ordinary romantic film, it conveys young love between two individuals from two different worlds, both socially and economically. The two protagonists of the film ,Noah (Ryan Gosling) and Allie (Rachel Adams) demonstrate not only the power of their blissful summer love but also at the end of their dying days.

"Summer romances begin for all kinds of reasons, but when all is said and done, they have one thing in common. They're shooting stars, a spectacular moment of light in the heavens, fleeting glimpse of eternity, and in a flash they're gone".

The storyline is captivating as it reflects various themes such as forbidden love, Alzheimer disease and effects on loved ones, financial and social status, having to choose between soul-mate and class order and lastly love conquerors all.

Young Allie: "Why didn't you write me? Why? It wasn't over for me, I waited for you for seven years. But now it's too late."
Young Noah: "I wrote you 365 letters. I wrote you everyday for a year."
Young Allie: "You wrote me?"
Young Noah: "Yes... it wasn't over, it still isn't over.

Poor Noah. She never knew he wrote every single day? Evil mother, EVIL!

Although Allie and Noah were faced with many roadblocks e.g. Allie's mother and Allie having moved on with the assumption that Noah had too due, without knowing that her mother had held onto all of Noah's love letters, and getting engaged Noah and Allie withstood it all, even with an amazing twist at the end. Allie having Alzheimer disease, causing her to forget her young love. The film opens with an elderly man (Noah) reading out of a notebook to an elderly woman (Allie) about a story between two young lovers. The two lovers become one again when they die holding hands lying next to one another. As beautiful as the story is I have decided I will make a slight change to one of the scenes so that the ending will be different with an even more heartwarming twist, having a crossover character just not sure who yet.

Brainstorming is still in progress and re-watching the film will be required.

Max's final fan fiction

Mickey stretched his fingers, as if he was about to crack his knuckles. But, as a gentleman and knowing she hated it, he knew better. Their hands were cheaply glued together with drying blood and it was uncomfortable, getting to the point where it was dry enough that the sweat forming from their hands was preventing it from drying further. Despite the lack of adequate lighting night-time provides it was still clear where Mickey’s hand on the steering wheel stopped, and the blood began. It had found its way in to the tiny wrinkles in his skin and had started a network of dried blood rivers between his fingers and on top of his knuckles. Low clouds hung ahead, cowering from the all-knowing eye of the moon. Mallory’s father’s car was making its way through the back roads of Genric-ville, U.S of A and had definitely already been reported stolen. Mickey turned on the radio and through the static he made out “parents” and “murdered” and promptly switched it off again. He looked over at Mallory, probably hoping to exchange some kind of ‘knowing’ look but her eyes belonged to the stars and her ears to the aural pleasures of no police sirens. She was too free at this point to be disturbed by anything. The adrenaline soaked euphoria had recalled and their brains had told them both that now would be the perfect time to change clothes and vehicles and it was agreed that the next sign of life was to be stripped naked and robbed of their clothes and their lives, depending on The Witness.

“Always leave a Witness,” Mickey would tell Mallory like he was teaching a class, “that way he can tell all the people the good news – that we are heartless asshole killers.” If his judgements were to be correct, Mickey and Mallory would be bigger stars than the Manson family – total media porn.

It was almost time for the sun to wake up and the news stations’ mass morning-wood ejaculation on the face of the good, free American people. What better to scare people in to buying bigger locks on their doors and bigger guns than two insane, parent-killing, cold blooded lovers on a road trip to the heart of the Nation armed with assault rifles and knifes longer than our arms. Scary stuff, eh?                                                        Still dressed in his orphan-grey prison vest Mickey woke his darling up with a gentle shake and crooked smile. “Breakfast?”

Two fully grown men were begging and crying at Mickey’s feet, freshly toothless they blubbered some nonsense which was met by a frustrated glare and a bullet each to the brain. Bullets which their tax dollars had both paid for – his gun and the bullets were taken easily from the broken hand of a prison guard who was convulsing like a freezing epileptic two nights prior. Mallory still had her arm fastened tightly around the woman at the till, Mickey was staring down un-approvingly at what he’d just achieved. He heard the obvious click of Mallory’s blade. “No, no we always leave one baby.”
“Oh, you’re no fun”
His gap tooth beamed at her and she stuck her tongue out at him like she was teasing a child. She let go of the girl and they both faced her, switching lines like a rehearsed scene.
“Now, what to do with you what to doooo…”
“Well, we gotta leave one…”
The woman at the till had a look on her face that was like she’d smelt something awful and someone offended her Mother at the same time.
“…To tell our story!”
“So, when the police come with their buddies in the Media for the ‘scoop’, what are you going to tell them?”
“N-n-nothing?”
“EHH! Wrong!”
He grabbed her from behind the head like he was roughing up a baby kitten and pulled her ear right down to his mouth, so as not to cause any more confusion about what was being asked of her.
“You will tell them that it was Mickey and Mallory Knox who came in and did this, and they danced together while they did it too. And when they ask why we let you live you will say?”
“….”
“Because we are nice people! We just need you to tell all the King’s horses and all the King’s men exactly what we did in exact detail. Kay? Kay.”
Mickey patted her lightly on the cheek and paid for the delicious breakfast. Mallory had already gone to work organising replacement clothes while Mickey knelt down like a sympathetic coroner and stripped the two dead men of their clothes. They were both reeeal stylish out-back biker types,
“Please wait before we leave before you call the cops or we will have to shoot you. Thanks.”

Mickey looked dashingly tacky in his new Mustard-yellow vest and grey-brown snakeskin boots. Classic Americana, trailer park rags. Mickey apologised for the mess with a sarcastic giggle and opened the door for Mallory before climbing in to the car Dukes of Hazzard style. Buzzing from what had just happened he had not a care in the world, he wondered as they drove off toward the next town, city, or state whichever it may be, if Mallory was thinking the same thing he was. He had decided definitely that the when he found a spot that he liked, the perfect spot, he would make Mallory his wife, so they could live together for ever. Even after the dirty pigs eventually, and inevitably, corner and shoot them down.

Rosalie's Final Fanfiction

The circus arrives in the night, without notice, without warning. One morning it is simply there where before it was not. In place of an empty field are dozens of tents enclosed in an iron fence. A sign above the gates reads “Le Cirque des Rêves”, the circus of dreams, below it “The circus opens at sunset and closes at sunrise.”

Everywhere you go talk of the circus follows you, those who have been tell stories of magical illusionists, daring cat tamers, and impossible attractions. It’s been years since you thought of the circus, since one has last come to town, since you wrote it off as a con to exchange money for half-baked dreams. Despite this you find yourself counting down the hours until you get off the work, counting the minutes until the sun sets, until the circus is open.

When you step into the circus you are swept up by the crowds, past a magnificent clock and deposited inside a tent. Inside the tent there is nothing: no seats, no props, nothing. You’re about to leave, to follow the enticing smell of circus treats, when the door seals shut as if it was never there. Puzzled, you join the audience, what else is there to do? The lights dim, but still nothing. A lady beside you whispers “Look up”. Up you look. Above you there is a web of ropes stretched across the tent, accompanied by a stream of ribbons cascading down. Trapeze artists glide through the air, momentarily weightless as they fling themselves around the room. Aerialists and acrobats spin through the air suspended by ribbons. Your visions of this is crystal clear, there are no nets to interfere. A man in a tuxedo emerges from the centre of the web spinning until he becomes a blur. Then he plunges down, hurtling towards the audience. You dive out of the way, or rather try to. He stops inches above your head and takes a bow.

You find yourself ducking into tents to avoid the crowds, pausing only for the slightest moment before leaving, but this one grabs your attention. Inside is a desert, complete with a scorching hot sun and sand that creeps into your shoes. Outside: the moon is high in the sky, while the grass is firmly packed down. Impossible. A group of people emerge from nowhere, a light powder of…snow covers there shoulder. All are decked out in grey, embellished with a touch of red in the form of a scarf, a tie, a bracelet. They seem amused by your shock, and reveal a hidden door that leads to another room. Curious you enter, only to find yourself in a winter wonderland. The room beyond that reveals a beach, a glacier, a valley. Each room is more spectacular than the last, eventually you find yourself back in the circus. Disappointed you turn to re-enter the tent, only to find that it is gone.

You wander along until you feel the cool breeze emanating from a tent; you cautiously enter, expecting a blizzard or something equally bizarre. Instead there is a garden, made entirely of ice. Transparent roses bloom before your eyes, crystal grass crunches beneath your feet. A fountain bubbles at the centre, water streaming down the sides before it freezes and becomes a part of the sculpture. An elegant tree stands beyond the fountain, the ice twists around the trunk, each twist breaking off to become a branch. Each branch is covered in leaves, tiny delicate leaves that are thin enough to see through, and thick large leaves, with craggy edges. A vine wraps around the trunk, flowers budding. You reach out to touch a flower, one that has just blossomed, only for it to shatter. You take a step back preparing to run back out into the circus, only for the flower to grow back, as though nothing had happened. As you step outside you look back to see a young man adorned with a bowler hat stoop over the flower, you blink and he is gone.

The next tent you stumble upon contains yet another tree, made not of ice, but of fire. It’s labelled the wishing tree, and you are encouraged to make a wish by lighting a candle and attaching it to the tree. It is these wishes that make the tree appear to be made of fire, as the flames flicker from every branch. Is it weird that you find yourself wanting to make a wish? After all, wishes are for children, like toys and cartoons and…circuses. But what to wish for? That new promotion, a better office, the lottery? You could, but instead you smile and write down your wish, wrap it around a candle and attach it to a branch. Out of the corner of your eye you see a young lady in victorian dress light her own candle. You blink and see only a flickering candle.

It takes you sometime to find the next tent, now realising that each tent contains something spectacular and amazing and that its contents should be considered carefully before entering. What does it smell like? Feel like? Do others frequent it? This next tent seems to have many, many visitors and feels like the cool mist that descends on a foggy morning. Inside you are alone those that you followed in have mysteriously vanished. Instead there is a cloud in front of you, with steps leading up to it. You climb the stairs and hesitantly step on it, to your left another cloud appears and you clamber on to it, and reach for the next cloud. The tent is true to its sign, for it is a cloud maze. From time to time you hear the sound of laughter, catch the glimpse of someone in the distance. You reach the top and discover a group of circus goers, once again dressed in grey, with a touch of red. You reach them just as one leaps over the side and hurtles to the ground. “Don’t worry”, says one of the group. “It’s perfectly safe. The clouds slow you down and catch you. Try it.” As you plunge down towards the ground a cloud swoops up under you, catching you at the last minute.

Outside the crowds have thinned no doubt retiring for the night. You take the opportunity to wander along, pausing to observe the impromptu performances of contortionists, snake charmers, storytellers and human statues. Eventually you stop to listen to as a young man begins his story. It is a tale of how the circus began, of the two magicians who competed in it, the love they shared, and how that love nearly destroyed the circus.

It is hard to leave the circus unchanged, and changed you are. You pause at the gates. It’s difficult to leave, even though you know that you will be back tomorrow.

Max's Fan Fiction draft/plan

I've had some trouble thinking about what I'm going to do for this assessment. Most of my ideas have been written on my hand and random pieces of plastic and paper i've managed to find. So now that I have all my ideas bunched together in my head, I've decided that I'm going to re-write a particular scene of the movie Natural Born Killers. Natural Born Killers was released in 1994, the screenplay was written by Quentin Tarantino (you can't go wrong) and the film was directed by Oliver Stone. It's pretty out-there in terms of content, it's almost as if Pulp Fiction meets The Wall.

The basic plot is two psychopathic lovers on a killing spree and the media's irresponsible portrayal and glorification of them. Visually the film is pretty insane, aside from the violence there is a strong focus on the psychotic nature of this pair (Mickey and Mallory) which is shown during scenes in which there appears to be no 'background' or 'setting' except for flashes of seemingly random images. This is also due to the fact that more than once throughout the film they both take mushrooms. The scene I will be focusing on is not actually shown in the film which is why it is of interest to me, but to set the scene, basically Mickey steals a car that belongs to Mallory's abusive father, is imprisoned and then escapes to take Mallory from her parents and kill them. He succeeds and takes off with Mallory, stealing again her now dead father's car to go off on this spree that makes up the basis of the movie. The next scene shown in the movie is Mickey and  Mallory on a bridge marrying themselves. I won't give away too much because the climax is pretty fucking climatic, but I will be focusing on the in-between of that little bit. What happens after he rescues her, but before they're on the bridge? I imagine for the first time they'd seen each other in months, these two psychos could have brewed a pretty 'fun' idea as to what to do in celebration so that's what I'm going to explore.

Here is the trailer if anyone wanted to have a look.

The major themes within the film include:
Angels/Demons within and around us
Alternate Reality(ies)
Institutional Evil e.g prisons, cycles of abuse etc.
Fate
and The Media in general as not an information tool, but something put there to deliberately make us crazy.

I've re-watched the movie so everything is fresh in my brain, especially the characters as there are only two, or two that I will be dealing with at least. I  also looked for some other fan fiction for this movie but honestly couldn't find any past the first 3 pages of google search so if anyone does happen to find any please let me know!

Rose's Fan Fiction draft plan

Hey guys, this is just a brief brainstorm towards my draft, hope you get the gist of things to come.

So I’m set with what I’ll be writing about. I've decided to base my fan fiction on the movie Oldboy (2003), the Korean version that is, not the Hollywood remake due later this year by Spike Lee. The exact reason why I've chosen this thriller is because, I’m an avid fan of Asian movies, Korean thrillers in particular. Oldboy is a cult movie, and isn't like your typical Hollywood thriller, most of us are used to.

Background: It’s based on a 90’s Japanese Manga series. The movie is the second installment of, The Vengeance Trilogy, directed by Park Chan Wook. They all share the same themes but are narratively different, so you don’t need to watch the first one to get this.

Without giving anything away a brief outline of the movie goes… It’s based on Oh Dae Su (the protagonist), who is kidnapped and imprisoned on the day of his daughter’s birthday, and kept in a confined hotel-like room for 15 years. Within the year horrific events unfold and his life deteriorates before him. He spends the years imprisoned planning his revenge. To his surprise he is suddenly released without explanation, but his freedom comes with a catch. Why he’s released remains a mystery throughout the film, as he goes in search for answers. Supporting characters; Lee Woo Jin- Man behind his imprisonment. Mido- Daesu’s love interest/helper.

Now the themes covered in the film include, revenge, taboo, sadistic scenes, brutal violence and salvation.  For those of you who are squirmish, some scenes in the movie might be hard to watch.
My FF would be considered to be a Adultfic,  due to the overly violent nature of the scenes and the character's, depicted in my FF.
Structure of my FF could be an introduction to a violent scene covered in the film…

Point of view; I could cover the leading character, Oh Daesu and base it from his perspective on events leading to a particular scene. Still pondering on which one to choose and at what point of the narrative/movie. I’m considering taking ... approach with my writing.

I've come across with a cross-over character which I’ll be including into my FF. Lisbeth Salander from the Millennium Series. Those of you who are unfamiliar with the books would know her from, the Girl with theDragon Tattoo, now I’ll be referring to the Swedish films in my FF, not the American remake.

I've chosen these characters because they both share similar anti-social characteristics and they've endured horrific pasts. So in my FF, Lisbeth will help Daesu rather than Mido (his love interest in movie), and they could both share the same rival/villain, Lee Woo Jin.
Here are some links for my FF I’ve recovered so far…
Oldboy Blog
Genre set for my FF, based on Korean thriller, The Cahser
Theme on the final twist

DRAFT
Here are some points I didn’t manage to cover last time…

Characters in FF: Daesu (Protagonist), Lisbeth (Supporting Character), Woojin (Antagonist), Blomkvist (Asistant)

POV: First person or Third person-During the main plot with Daesu and sub plot with Lisbith.

Genre in FF: Thriller, Adultfic – may have scenes of violence.

Scene: This FF will be focused towards the end of the movie, where Daesu finds out why he was imprisoned and finally visits Woojin in his penthouse. In my FF Daesu will be accompanied by Lisbeth.  Daesu and Lisbeth uncover the truth about Woojin…They both find what they’ve been looking for, but a turn of events lead them to something even more twisted.
Setting: At night, in Seoul City, on the top floor of a Penthouse. I don’t think I can get more specific than that haha

Plot in FF: So the structure of the main plot covered in my FF, will start with Daesu arriving at the penthouse with Lisbeth. He’s just found out why he was imprisoned; for talking too much, but he wants to know what happened to his family. (Here an introduction to his past is narrated.) Lisbeth on the other hand has uncovered an undercover human trafficking ring, involving Woojin and prostitutes. Dead tortured bodies, of missing prostitutes, have been showing up around the city. (An introduction to Lisbeth and how she met Daesu.) Then comes the torture, Daesu wants answers on his family, Lisbeth wants to know where the remaining missing girls are.
Intro to sub plot. In the midst of torturing, Lisbeth gets a phone call from Blomkvist.  He’s uncovered info on Daesu’s family and past. His daughter is involved in prostitution, and hasn’t been seen for weeks. Lisbeth puts two and two together.
Back to the main plot. Lisbeth asks Woojin, what happened to his daughter. Daesu becomes enraged, about the news of his missing daughter. He realises this is all a part of Woojin’s revenge. He is just about to kill Woojin, who finds their presence amusing, when a screen comes on. They see an underground dungeon with what appears to be a group of girls tied to surgical tables. The torture starts. The volume comes on and they hear them screaming....WTF

The reader is left in SUSPENSE!! Sorry guys there’s no ending, whatever happens from here on out is entirely based on questions by the viewer. Will his daughter be down there? Is she the one being tortured? What kind of sick people do this? Why would they do this? Do they go into the dungeon? Does Daesu finish off Woojin? Does Lisbeth call the police?...

Hopefully I’ve explained enough for you to understand and follow through.

Feel free to give any suggestions, thoughts or feedback. They are more then welcomed.

FF Planninf

Dexter (Why?) - Dexter popped into my head as soon as I heard about the Fan Fiction assignment. Just letting it be known quietly I am a 'in the closet' megga DEXTER fan and secretly cant wait for the next season to come out. Also crossing my fingers and toes that season 8 wont be the last season.
I've followed through all the seasons and have always been on of those 'what if this' or 'what if that happened' sideline commentators while watching the series. Heres hoping it will finally come in hand and make my life a little bit easier on this assignment.

At this point I am still unsure as to what take I am going to have on the series... But, maybe thinking of doing it from Deborah (the sisters) narrative point and then obviously changing some turn of evens and extending and expanding on the existing cliff hangers.

Tossing up initial ideas)- The most I know regarding this assignment is that i have a definite series. Now I am abit torn in weather to carry out season 8 episode 1 for my fan fiction (Dexter is only up to end of season 7 wth the public), change up the last season 7 turn of events, maybe add some new ones, go right back to season 6 (season that i really enjoyed and tweak it to my imagination) or do a flash foward. possibly a flash right back to childhood
Alongside this indecisivness I have yet to pick which narrative angle/ thought prosess i will be coming from. I jugglinging in between a few main character.
-Dexter Morgan (classic choice)
-Deborah Morgan (more of an emotional outside look on dexter)
-Trinity (serial killer - his perspective of dexter ans when they became friends)
-Dexters brother
-Dexters children/child (flash foward)

Taken(2008) why?

Although I originally wanted to write my piece on the Dexter Series, the more research I did into it I found my self not being 100 percent passionate on creative FF piece. Something that I am passionate on is Human Trafficking, which is where my final FF piece came from. I wanted to do a take on the movie TAKEN which address the global issue of human trafficking rolled into a ‘Hollywood’ brave heart type blockbuster. It brought me to think about the raw end of human trafficking and the sad reality for the millions of woman, men, girls and boy that are trafficked globally that don’t have a happy ending with a dad that is a ex C.I.A agent. This mind frame brought me to write a piece on the movie taken but adding a more realistic twist on on the Hollywood fabricated story. My FF is based on the WHAT IF’S

-->
Characters: that will play in my FF
-Bryan Mills (Father, also an ex c.i.a agent, the main action character who goes on a mission to save his daughter from Albanian Human Traffickers. In the original movie he succeeds on finding his daughter in my fan fiction he will not be successful in saving his daughter. I think the FF will be based from him point of view)
-Kim Mills (Daughter of Bryan Mills, 16 years old in the original movie. Goes away to Europe with a friend, gets taken by Human traffickers and to be sold off as a sex slave and ended up getting taken the night of her sale and her dad did not manage to save her)
-Lenore (Kims mum, Bryans ex wife. She will play a part in my fan fiction as the same styled catchater as the made her in the movie)
-Stuart (Lenores rich new husband, Kims step dad. He will not really play and major role in my ff other than him being put into conversation maybe)
-Jean-Claude (the police cop in France that Bryan thought was his friend but is a dirtty cop who is trying to shoo Bryan out of France as he is casuing to much trouble)

Story will be a flash foward. Its will be coming from Byrans P.O.V. I think it will play on the way he is feelingat the time as he did not succed in saving Kimmy, But he has the stamina of never gving up. Flash foward will only be a year max.

:)

p.s sorry if i confused u guys from dexter to taken. hope you enjoy the final piece when completed

Rosalie's Fanfiction draft/plan

"The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within the black-and-white striped canvas tents is an utterly unique experience full of breathtaking amazements. It is called Le Cirque des Rêves, and it is only open at night."

So far I plan to write about a book called "The Night Circus" by Erin Morgenstern.  The book is set in the 19th century and is about two magicians that have been trained to fight each other since they were both children, the battleground is the circus and the two must compete by creating different attractions, more amazing and spectacular than anything seen before. As a result everyone in the circus stops aging and remains exactly the same during the 13 years the book takes place, in the end though the book finishes with the two magicians relinquishing control and becoming part of the circus.

The Fanfiction will take place in the 21st century and will go with the idea that everyone participating in the circus has stopped aging and can't die from natural causes. This will let me involve characters that are from the book as they are still alive today. However, I don't want to write about the circus from the view of an insider, as it is in the book, but from that of an outsider, of someone attending the circus for the very first time. Parts of the book are written in 2nd person, particularly the epilogue which gave me the idea for this, and I plan to try and do this, which will be challenging... Hopefully it will work and sound more like  this poem by Neil Gaiman, and not just me ordering the reader around.

My 5 Fanfictions:
Le Cirque des Reves- This fanfiction has no set time period, but takes place when one of the character in the book has grown up, so it can be assumed that it takes place after the events of the book. The fanfic uses second person consistently throughout the first three chapters and then switches to third and first person in other chapters. In these chapters the head of the circus is interviewing for more acts and the reader is introduced to characters that are joining the circus. The story then follows the friendship, however the fanfiction has yet to be finished and no official plot has been developed, although there are thoughts that the two girls who joined the circus have dangerous paths that will follow them. The first three chapters were quite helpful as they were in second person and it helped give me a a feel for what second person looks like and gave me some help on how I should write it.

Enter Any Tent- This fanfiction focuses on a different tent every chapter, allowing the reader to experience the circus without having to leave their own home. I quite liked this one as it had a similar idea to mine. This fanfiction also introduces new tents from outside of those established in the book, which was an interesting idea. Especially as it went with the idea that the circus is constantly evolving and growing. The use of second person in this fanfic was also useful, perhaps more so, as the word "you" was used less, which makes it seem more natural. As I struggled to not overuse "you" I found this really helpful.

The Picture Window- This is a short, one-off story that focuses on one tent within the circus. This tent in particular holds dozens of windows that look out onto different sights. This is one tent that I can't remember being in the book, although it does appear in other fanfictions. This fanfiction helped me be a bit more creative with some of the tents, although the tents I wrote about are in the books, after reading this fanfic I had no problems redesigning them a bit. The use of second person also helped, although I found that it did encourage me to use "You" more than the previous fanfic.

Upon Another Night- a fanfiction featuring two OC's that attend the circus for the first time. In this fanfiction  three of the characters from the book are heavily involved, and it shows how they have grown up to handle the affairs of the circus. It also features new characters that are in the circus now, showing that it has evolved since the 1800's. Although the fanfic is written in first person, it gave me some ideas on how to incorporate the characters from the previous books into my fanfic. In particular Celia and Marco, who at the end of the book become ghost like, are mentioned and inspired me to do the same in my fanfiction.

A Rêveur's Tale-This fanfiction takes place during the events of the book and spans one night, it is from the point of view of someone who has already attended the circus. This too, was written in second person and was also helpful in wrapping my head around writing in second person. It also was very similar to the style in which the book was written and helped with how I should write in that style, as it's very poetic and description based.
